Finally, A Job!

Finally, I have a job again. Haven’t worked a steady job since I left California. Four months of not working was starting to drive me BONKERS! Well, no more. I have been hired by Macy’s. It’s temporary (for the holidays) but there is the possibility of it becoming permanent.

Went for POS (point of sale) training last night. Definitely an experience. I have register experience but this is like nothing I’ve worked with before. I’m hoping with use I’ll catch on quickly. Did the rest of the traing this morning. All the training is done on a computer, POS on a training register. Walked away this morning after 2 hours with a major headache. Have to go back Monday night for orientation, 3 more hours on the computer (oh joy). After that I should be scheduled for actual work. I’m so excited!

Yes, this will be a whole new experience. I’ve worked retail but it was nothing like Macy’s. I’m really looking forward to this. Will update as soon as I know more.

Halloween Party

Last Saturday night Tim and I went to a costume contest at The Abbey Pub. I haven’t been inside a bar in  close to 20 years. It was definitely an interesting experience. Saw some unusual costumes. Tim was Darth Vader and I was a Jedi warrior. There were 3 different contests: Most Creative, Sexiest and That’s Funny. Tim entered the Most Creative. Everyone kept telling us he should win. Unfortunately, he didn’t. The winner was determined by the audience. Of course the winner was a regular patron. I told Tim we’ll have to start going on a regular basis so that by next Halloween we’ll know all the regulars.

Halloween is Almost Here

My honey is a HUGE Stars Wars fan. He bought himself an official Darth Vader costume, complete with light up chest piece and belt. He bought me a Jedi Warrior costume (I haven’t dressed up in over ten years). He bought both of us an official adult collectible lightsaber, his is red and mine is blue.

KC is going as a female Robin Hood. She carved her pumpkin last night and did a great job with it. Tim and I will be carving ours this weekend.

Have to go for now. Will write more later.

Something New For Me

So, I’ve decided to write a blog, too much free time. Here goes!

A little info on me. My Dad was Air Force and we moved alot. I was born in Hawaii and have lived in Alabama, Utah, Massachusetts, Georgia, Illinois, Californa, Italy, Germany, California and now in Texas.

I read ALOT!! I love paranormal romance, romantic suspense and erotica. Some favorite authors are Larissa Ione, Maya Banks, Kerrelyn Sparks, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Alyssa Day just to name a few. I can read a mass market paperback in a few hours.

I have 3 kids, Jev age 22, Joey age 18 and K.C. age 14. I moved to Texas after 30 years in N. California to be with my Honey, Tim. He loves me dearly and the feeling is definitely mutual. I look forward to our life together.

I met Tim online in December of 2006. We talked on the phone constantly (still do) and met face to face for our first date. I think I fell a little in love with him before actually meeting him. Why? Because he included my 2 younger children (ages 13 and 9) on our first date. He took the kids and I up to Tahoe on christmas eve. My kids had a wonderful time, though my son was a “problem child”. Tim didn’t let that get to him, he came back for more. We’ve been together ever since.

The other night Tim and I were sitting in our backyard looking at the stars. He told me he saw a shooting star last year at this time. I asked him if he had made a wish on it. He said he had and the wish had already come true. I asked him what he wished for and he said it was for me to be here with him. He made me all warm and gooey inside. One of the reasons I love him so much. That, and the man makes me laugh, alot.

I’m going to try to be consistent with this blog. Don’t know if I’ll be posting daily, every few days or weekly. We’ll see how it goes.
